EL HOBBIT (1977)

Hace una semana o por ahí, estaba por YouTube viendo vídeos y me encontré con que había trozos de cierta película animada de los años 70 basada en el Hobbit. Al principio, pensé "Ew", la animación es un poco pésima y eso era suficiente para alejarme del épico sentimiento de ver a la Compañía de enanos corriendo por los parajes de Nueva Zelanda.

Pero empecé a ver vídeos de las canciones y me gustaron porque tenían ese toque cutre y misterioso de las películas antiguas, así que me la fui viendo y, hablando con gente y viendo comentarios, me di cuenta de por qué les gustaba a mucha gente: refleja a la perfección la historia original en el libro de Tolkien: una película de fantasía animada que fácilmente impresiona a cualquier niño y tiene esas cosillas, esos errores, esas pequeñeces... para los nostálgicos de películas antiguas.

Sí, lo que más me flipó al ver esto fue: LOS ENANOS...parecen de Blancanieves, y sólo mira a Thorin, ¡¡ese abuelo gruñón del centro no puede ser el héroe que Richard Armitage interpreta!!

Aunque, tiene su encanto clásico. Gandalf aparece más enigmático, y Bilbo sigue siendo Bilbo, aunque más confiado (es una película para niños, así que el tono es más suave).

Por lo demás, Thranduil parece una alcachofa, no hay Légolas o Tauriel, águilas que hablan,...

La escena del dragón Smaug con Bilbo también es graciosa. Es muy fácil ver a un viejo hablando a través del dragón, que habla tan tranquilo mientras echa fuego por la boca y hace poesía consigo mismo (mis brazos son como diez escudos, mis garras...lanzas). Me encanta esa parte. Además de que el dragón parece un gato y tiene luceros.

En definitiva, la película está muy bien para los niños y nostálgicos, y tiene frases para el recuerdo y gran moralidad, además de melodías que nos llegarán al corazón y que podrán buscar en YouTube.

It was a week ago or so, and I was watching YouTube videos when I found out parts of certain 70´s animated film based on the Hobbit. At the beginning, I thought "Ew", the animation was sloppy and that was enough to get far away from the epic feeling of seeing the Dwarven Company running through New Zealand´s beautiful landscapes.

Nonetheless, I started to watch videos from the songs and I liked them because they had that old films´ tatty but misterious feeling, so I started watching it and, talking to people and seeing comments, I realized why so many people liked it: IT REFLECTS TO PERFECTION THE ORIGINAL STORY FROM TOLKIEN´S BOOK!! ... a fantasy animated film which easily impresses children and has those little things, those mistakes,...for the old films´ nostalgics.

But, what freaked me out the most were... THE DWARVES...they look like Snow White´s ones, and just look at Thorin, that old grumpy grandpa can´t be the hero that Richard Armitage portrays !!

Even though, as I say, it´s got his classic charming. Gandalf looks more enigmatic (and one-browed), and Bilbo is still Bilbo, more fat but more confident.

As for the rest, Thranduil looks like an artichoke, there is no Legolas or Tauriel, and the eagles talk...

The old dragon Smaug´s scene with Bilbo is also funny. You can feel an old man (surely smoking a cigarette) which dedicates his free time to voice a dragon INSTEAD of feeling the dragon like we all do in the trilogy. The old man speaks while the dragon tells us how his arms are like ten shields, his claws like spears and blablabla. I LOVE that part, also the dragon looks like a cat and his eyes are lighthouses.

Definitely, the film is very good for kids and nostalgics, and displays memorable lines trusting the book and great morality. Also, it flatters us with beautiful melodies which you can look for in YouTube.

DWARF BROS

Fili y Kili son dos enanos graciosos y peculiares. Fili va a su bola, mientras que Kili tiene un "gusto" por las chicas elfas, eso sí, siempre que Dwalin no esté cerca para negarlo.

Pero, ¿sabías que la sangre que los une como hermanos, es REAL? Sí, Fili y Kili son descendientes y, por lo tanto, herederos al trono de Erebor.

Aunque no está mencionado en las películas de Peter Jackson, los hermanos son sobrinos de Thorin "Escudo de Roble", algo con lo que la trama podría haber jugado bastante, pero NO.

Desgraciadamente, todos sabemos lo que les pasa a los pobres enanos en la Batalla de los Cinco Ejércitos, así que el trono de Erebor es heredado por Dain, el primo de Thorin, en una escena eliminada de la película.

Una mierda matar a tío y sobrinos en la película. Sólo digo que Fili se vería bien con una corona. Pero eh, yo no escribí la trama....


Fili and Kili are two funny and peculiar dwarves. Fili goes on his own, while Kili has a "like" for elven girls, as long as Dwalin isn´t there, of course.

But, did you know that the blood that unites them as brothers, is ROYAL BLOOD? Yes, Fili and Kili are siblings and therefore, inheritors to Erebor´s throne.

Although it´s not mentioned in Peter Jackson´s films, the two are Thorin "Oakenshield"´s nephews, something the plot could have played with, but NO.

Unfortunately, we all know what happened to the poor dwarves in The Battle Of The Five Armies, so the Throne of Erebor is inherited by Dain, Thorin´s cousin, in a deleted scene from the film.

Killing uncle and nephews is a damn shit if you ask me. Just saying, Fili would look good as King Under the Mountain. But hey, I didn´t write the plot nor the book...
